By ISKCON News Weekly Staff on 11 Apr 2009

Devotees from the UK’s Bhaktivedanta Manor, headed by Ramanuja Dasa, have teamed up to produce a TV program called “Hare Krishna Culture,” for MATV, a free Sky satellite channel.

The show features lectures by senior ISKCON devotees, kirtans from around the world, and archival footage of interviews with ISKCON founder Srila Prabhupada. “It has been very warmly received by both devotees and the general public, and has received very good reviews in the UK and Europe,” says Shyama Sakhi Dasi, secretary for the non-profit production company Hare Krishna Mission Ltd.

The show airs on channel 793 at 10:00am every Sunday in Europe and the UK, and is repeated on Wednesday at 4.30am, UK time. It is also broadcast in India, the Middle East and the Far East on Sanskar TV at 10.00pm Indian time every Saturday.

Srutidharma Dasa and ISKCON guru Giriraja Swami offered their guidance and support to the project, while the Srila Prabhupada footage and soundtrack come courtesty of ISKCON Cinema’s Yadubar Dasa and 24 Hour Kirtan’s Aindra Dasa respectively.
