ISKCON Ludhiana Honors Srila Prabhupada's Passing Away
The 2nd of November marked the disappearance of His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. The ISKCON temple in Ludhiana, India observed the occasion, known in sanskrit as tirobhava tithi maha-mahotsava, with great pomp and affection.
The program featured an abhishek (bathing ceremony) of the deity of Srila Prabhupada by temple devotees. The melodious Hare Krishna maha-mantra was recited by a kirtana party followed by a lecture from Vidurpriya Dasa. Afterwards, prasadam (sanctified food) was distributed.
